I know there has been nothing to read here lately. I am here to tell you now that there is likely going to be nothing for a while as Tony and I are leaving on vacation bright and early on Wednesday. I had hoped to prepost a travelogue but that did not come to pass. We will be back on Saturday the 16th. I hope to post something then and get our pictures up ASAP.
See you all later, when we are all Jamaican and tan!

Hi y’all. I know it has been a while. But, I have heard that boring everyday posts are not of that much interest around here. I really have not had anything earth-shattering to share, so there you go… no posts.
Sorry to disappoint again. I go nothing of any relevance.
Ooo, I did hear today at work that Mirna was in the store last night, but sadly I had already left for the day. Cant even share about that.
Work has been a bitch. January has to be the SUCKIEST month of the year. Doesnt anyone need some good cosmetics??? Seriously, daddy gotta pay his bills…. Christmas was not cheap for me either. The days seem to stretch on and on, few customers and few dollars coming in… that means little (very little) commission. You know we live for that. I have been trying some new tactics to drum up some business. We have planned a couple of events at the counter to try and drive some sales… so far, we are stalling out. I have sent emails out to some of my best customers (some of you reading this may have gotten one??) but no bites yet. The fiscal year starts on Feb 3, so I feel like writing off 07 as a bad dream, and January as a nightmare!
So, our vacay is coming up (12 days left!!) and neither of us has done much to prepare. I have laid out some shirts for the trip, but dont think that I was being industrious, it was a by-product of me changing my closet from summer to winter… but that is about it. So, I will only be wearing shirts on the trip apparently.
Due to the writers strike, there has not been much TV watchin’ round here. I decided to re-watch the first 2 seasons of Battlestar Galactica but this time Tony is watching with me. I am looking forward to season 3 coming out in March… we will have to power through the episodes so we can watch season 4 as it happens. I believe it starts late March or early April. Even the reality has been light. I have not watched the Apprentice other than the first episode, I forget to watch when it is on… Idol is hit or miss with my schedule. About the only thing I am up on is Runway and Make me a Supermodel (just barely). That may have something to do with my lack of “what I am watching” posts.
Well, I hope all is well with you out in blog land. If you are in White Marsh Mall anytime, help a brother out and buy an eyeliner or something!!!!

I just got another comment the other day on a post I wrote back in August 06. The post was the one I wrote about the new show (at the time) Ace of Cakes… and how the show is filmed here in Baltimore just south of where I live. Yadda yadda.
Here is the weird thing, somehow people started to get the idea that I own that joint! Or that EdandTony.com is some kind of cover for Duff Goldman. You just cant imagine how many comments ask for cakes! How to get them, how much they cost, will we ship to Canada!? I dont know how people think that! I guess no one really pays attention to what they read. I feel it is clear in the post that I am talking about a TV show I want to watch. I even included a link to the real Charm City Cakes website. I dunno…
You just gotta see them here.

Not only do I “never” write anything on this website… neither does anyone else.
Anyone still read this?

A friend sent me these links and I think they are pretty funny. Both are parody songs about Delaware… not that I am from there or anything… My mom just lives there. If you care to check them out, I hope you enjoy!!

So, I wish I had something to say. I mean, I really should have something…
So far 2008 hasnt been bad. I havent had to work too much. I had off the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th. Yahoo!
But I did have to go to TWO dentist appointments today. The first one was to do a minor filling ( not even any novacaine ) the second though was not as fun. Not sure if I mentioned this before but I cracked and broke a filling a couple of months ago and had to go in to get a full crown to replace the tooth… now, the damned nerve is dying and I had to get an eval for a root canal. Apparently, next Monday I will be gettin one. I have never had one before. I am not really nervous but I think it totally sucks that they are going to drill through my brand-fucking-new crown to do it. The dentist gives me the old “I havent broken one yet”… you better not bitch. I really havent even paid for this one yet. Damn. Boy… my days off have been really great. Not.
We finally got all of the Christmas stuff down and put away. We started yesterday and had nearly everything done other than taking the lights off the tree and getting it out of the house. Well now it is all done, just a few things have to be packed away in the basement, we have to find a few of the “everyday” things that we took down and then it will be like Christmas never happened.
Oh! Great news in the near future… our big vacay, the cruise is only 4 weeks from Wednesday!!! Yay! We are both looking forward to getting away and sailing to the Caribbean. Ah…. nothing like it.
So… that is the major news here… hope all is well where you are…
Peace Out Girl Scout.

So, it only took me 3 and 1/2 days to get to this. Pretty good if you ask me. Especially since I am just coming off of Holiday 2007.
Where were you people????
Sales across the board sucked for most retailers… and me. I dunno about you, but I spent just as much as I always do. Too much. Why didn’t everyone else???
Enough about that. So. How was yer Christmas? Mine was loverly. I got everything I asked for, which was not much. Mom got me the portable DVD player and the ridiculously large stock pot that I previously mentioned, agmonst other small things. That was all I asked for. Tony gave me many great things like DVDs and clothes. Of course the best is still the 20K from my mom to work on the house. Did I mention this before??? She gave my brother 20K to put down on his new house and only thought it fair to give me the same amount. Thanks for buyin a house JP!
So, what did you do for New Years? Tony and I took a chance and went to a party that friends of friends were throwing. What fun!! These guys have a gorgeous house, the food was outstanding, and an open bar. Of course, somehow, I kept making Vodka Cran with Vodka and the pitcher of premade Cosmos. How did I not know?? They got right tasty after about 3 of them!! Cosmos, with extra vodka!! Yum!
I spent most of the night out on the deck (so I could smoke like a chimney) sittin in front of the firebowl. So nice.
Midnight came and a huge champagne toast from everyone in attendance. We stayed till about 1 then went back to our friend’s house 3 blocks away to stay the night and avoid DUI stops. Tony and I and our friends sat out in their hottub til about 4 or so in the morning. Way too late, but plenty of fun.
The next morning/afternoon, we got up and returned to the scene of the crime… The hosts of the NYE party had brunch at their house on New Years Day. Again, the food was great and they made a DVD of many of the pictures from the night before. Who knew I could make such faces??? Must have been the triple strong Cosmos.
Tony and I went home and decided to watch the first FOUR Harry Potter movies (he had not seen any in their entirety). You may realize that it took nearly 12 hours to watch those, with breaks. We were up till like 1 am. It was our first day together in quite some time and it was great to just be together.
Next up, what to do for our anniversary?? It is now only 11 days away. (Jan 16). How to celebrate 9 years. What do you think?
Happy New Year again!!
